Sandra Barth is an illustrator, animator, and founder of BARBAR, an animation studio based in Leipzig, Germany.

Sandra studied Graphic Design at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig and Camberwell College London. She co-founded BARBAR in 2013 with her sister Beatrice Barth as a Graphic Design studio. When both followed the desire to specialize in different mediums, Sandra turned BARBAR into a studio for illustration and animation.

Her work spans from editorial and animated app illustrations to animated explainer videos and documentaries. Her illustrations are known for their clean and bold shapes, playful character designs, and vibrant colors, which are held together by witty, often humorous ideas. Sandra also explores narratives in Augmented Reality and curates a yearly AR Advent Calendar in her hometown Leipzig.
